The biggest concern about the number of children who are diagnosed with some form of ADHD in the U.S. is that there is no definitive test for the problem. Information is gathered from several sources and evaluated by a health care provider. At best the diagnosis is the result of the opinions of people who are having difficulty dealing with the child’s behavior. The symptoms of ADHD are in the same arena as children whose parent’s have problems with appropriate discipline.
