Focus on Better Behavior

Most parents may not even be aware that they are making these common mistakes raising their children. Making judgments and evaluations about your kids can send a message that your views are better than theirs. They may believe that you are disappointed in who they are. Criticism can lead them to believe that there are conditions place on your love and approval of them and need to measure their self-worth based on that. Punishment that doesn’t fit the crime usually brings out anger toward you instead of having them deal with what they did wrong. Allow your children to find who they are without judgments or criticism, be supportive and caring.
