Focus on Better Behavior

Often young children are seen as misbehaving by their parents because they do not seem to mind or listen to the word “no”. But toddlers are exploring their world and do not have the ability to discern what is dangerous and what is not. So, your first line of defense is to take steps to baby proof your home within reason by removing things that you don’t want broken or could be dangerous to your child. Next, use distraction to take your child’s attention away from something that is not okay to a toy or game that is appropriate. Use your toddler’s short attention span to your advantage.
